Fortnite Playground update: New settings from patch notes missing from mode

Epic Games released a new Fortnite update today, providing new content and options to the game on all platforms.

But while PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Mobile download and try out the new Chiller Traps around the map, there were some other big changes too.

A Fortnite Playground update is also live and comes with its own set of options, making it a much more expanded free-roam mode.

According to the patch notes released today, players can now change things during their time in Playground Mode.

This includes allowing you to change settings such as starting health, time of day and gravity.

However, while some players have revealed the new options screen in their game, it appears not everyone has access to the new options.

From what has been revealed so far, the new Playground Mode settings can be found in the options screen before you drop onto the island.

These cannot be changed when you’re in-game, and they don’t appear to be active for everyone right now.

There is a chance that Epic Games has decided to disable the options for a short time, although nothing been posted on the subject yet.

When it comes to the options available in Playground Mode, it appears that there is a lot to choose from.

Players can toggle how much health and shields are available, control fall damage, and if items drop when you are eliminated.

Gravity and time of day can also be toggled between several options, while players can also tweak what information is shown from other players.

It’s all great changes for those players who like to explore the island together, although many are hoping for more Playground Mode changes in the future.

Some players are hoping to seem the mode expand so that more than four players can join at a time, although it isn’t a popular idea with everyone.

“More people in a game would mean fewer servers they’d need,” one user comments on Reddit.

“Could you imagine 100 players in Playground. That would be terrible with everyone building and respawning. I think 5 players would good enough.”

Another adds: “If only we could have games with more than four friends…

“That would be so fun man. Also chaotic sucks that you can’t create custom lobbies yet.”

Fortnite Battle Royale is a F2P game developed by Epic Games and available to download on PS4, Xbox, PC, Nintendo Switch, Mac and Mobile.
