If the OnePlus 6T looks this good its Android rivals are in for a serious shock

OnePlus fans could see the arrival of the new OnePlus 6T later this month.

Rumours are rife that the Chinese technology company are about to reveal their next smartphone with one leak suggesting a launch could come as earlier as mid-October.

MySmartPrice noticed an alleged invitation posted on Weibo for .

The exhibition was labelled as taking place on October 17 but appeared to be referring to when the Android device would launch in India.

There’s no official confirmation of a release date but a new leaked image has revealed just how stunning this device could look.

Tech tipster, Roland Quandt, has posted a photo showing both the front and rear of he claims is the OnePlus 6T.

From the back, the phone doesn’t look all that different but look more closely and you’ll spot something is missing.

The current OnePlus 6 has a fingerprint scanner which sits in the middle of the case but there is no sign of such a security feature on the OnePlus 6T.

This almost certainly confirms that this new phone will have a fingerprint sensor tucked under the display – something that Samsung, Huawei and even Apple are yet to master.

Rumours continue to flood the web that this radical update is coming to OnePlus and, if true, it will be one of the first devices in the world to include such a feature.

CNET recently claimed OnePlus had confirmed in an email to the publication the OnePlus 6T will come bearing a fingerprint scanner under its display.

The Chinese firm declared: “We unlock our phones multiple times a day, and Screen Unlock reduces the number of steps to complete the action.

“By adding this feature as an addition to other display unlocking options such as Face Unlock, users will have options to unlock the display in a way that is most efficient for them.”

Leaks of the OnePlus 6T’s alleged packaging also recently leaked on Weibo and appeared to echo such claims.

A slogan was plastered on the box that reads “unlock the speed”.

Another big design change comes to the front of the 6T.

The leaked image from Quandt appears to show a tiny teardrop notch rather than the larger black bar that appears on the current OnePlus 6.

This does mean OnePlus has only been able to squeeze a single selfie camera into this design rather than dual-lens setup appearing on many new devices.

Along with the new features leaked in the imageswe also expect the 6T to include better battery life, wireless charging, a Snapdragon 845 processor and an improved dual-lens rear camera.

We’ll hopefully find out more in the coming weeks with .
