WWE RAW: Is Dean Ambrose set to betray Shield team-mates Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins?

Ambrose seems frustrated with his place in the legendary faction and the fact that he is the only member without a title as Roman Reigns is Universal Champion and Seth Rollins holds the Intercontinental Championship.

The Hounds of Justice’s rivals Braun Strowman as well as RAW Tag Team Champions Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler played mind games with The Lunatic Fringe last week when they claimed that his team-mates are holding him back.

The ex-WWE Champion remained loyal to Reigns and Rollins but seemed to be listening very carefully to his adversaries’ words and also looked reluctant to celebrate The Shield’s win after their first Six Man Tag Team Match since their reunion.

Ambrose addressed all the speculation on RAW at the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington and insisted that The Shield is a brotherhood he will never betray.

The former Intercontinental Champion said: “I bet you’re wondering, was I thinking something like, ‘I’m a little bit sick and a little bit tired and a little bit just plain over The Shield.

“You can stop trying to understand and you and the whole world can stop trying to analyse me, figure me out, get inside my head.

“Why don’t you just judge me by actions when I did what I always do. Step up, stand by my brothers and stand by my family.

“The Shield is not a business, The Shield is not a brand, The Shield is a brotherhood and we will always ride into battle together.”

Acting RAW General Manager Baron Corbin then gave him a chance to either challenge one of his Shield associates for their titles or face Strowman in a one-on-one match.

Ambrose ended up battling The Monster Among Men but didn’t seem to appreciate Reigns’ interference during the match and aired some frustrations backstage.

Rollins went to check on him in the doctor’s office but the ex-US Champion wasn’t in the mood to talk and reminded him that he could have been the new Intercontinental Champion.

He said: “You know what’s funny? I could be Intercontinental Champion right now.”

Ambrose did the same to Reigns as he pointed out how he could have chosen to face him for the Universal Championship.

He said: ”If I wasn’t such a nice guy, I might be Universal Champion right now.”

The Shield will be in action at WWE Super Show-Down this Saturday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia.

The Hounds of Justice will face Strowman, Ziggler and McIntyre in a Six Man Tag Team Match and it will be very interesting to see what kind of mood Ambrose will be in.
