Man Utd make final Paul Pogba decision amid Jose Mourinho unrest and Barcelona interest

Pogba has had numerous bust-ups with United boss Jose Mourinho, with cameras catching a heated training ground conversation last week.

The France World Cup winner has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford in recent weeks.

Barcelona have been tipped to move for the £89 midfielder, with the Spanish giants plotting a January move.

However, according to ESPN, United are determined to keep hold of Pogba.

They say the Red Devils have no interest in selling the midfield maestro, despite his bust-ups with Mourinho.

Mourinho recently stripped Pogba of United’s vice-captaincy, claiming the ex-Juventus star isn’t the right man for the job.

Barcelona would have to pay over £100m for the France international, with United well aware of Pogba’s commercial value off the pitch.

And ESPN add that Barca are confident they have the financial resources to fund a move for Pogba.

It’s claimed Nou Camp chiefs feel Pogba would help fill the void left by Neymar’s £200m move to PSG.

Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu recently revealed it will be hard to snatch Pogba away from United.

“Most of the teams don’t want to sell their players,” he said.

“They want to grow. The business is no longer to sell players and earn money. In football, you have to win, to generate funds, be successful.

“Also, I don’t like to speak about other teams’ players.

“I’m not talking about Pogba, I’m talking generally.

“When you hear from agents that a certain player is on the market – and I’m not saying that about this player, but generally – I will sometimes call the CEO of that club and say, ‘Is it true that you want to sell this player?’

“If they say yes, I can pass that message to our technical people. Usually, they say: ‘No way, not for sale’ and that’s the end of the matter.”
