Fortnite update 6.1 early patch notes REVEALED: Epic Games reveals long list of changes

developer Epic Games is gearing up to release the first major update of Season 6.

And according to the early update 6.1 patch notes, Epic is getting ready to fix some of the problems that have cropped up since the new Battle Pass was released.

The Fortnite Trello page confirms that a fix is on the way for mini-map, rendering and audio issues.

There’s no word on whether or not Shadow Stones will return, although this seems like a safe bet.

One problem that will be fixed in the next release involves an unrendered Starter Island appearing during the loading screen.

Epic has also eliminated instances of the floating island appearing in the wrong location on the mini-map.

Audio for player eliminations being the same audio used for rotating structures has also been fixed.

The next Fortnite update is expected to drop on October 2 at around 9am UK time.

Based on previous updates, the patch could also land on Thursday, October 4.

If it’s a full numbered update, then Fortnite Battle Royale will be taken offline for maintenance.

Epic Games was forced to deploy a hotfix over the weekend, following reports of one or two animation issues in Battle Royale.

The developer could also add more spooky new decorations to the Fortnite map.

Hinting at a big Halloween event this October, homes in Pleasant Park and streetlights in Tilted Towers have been adorned with creepy decorations.

The cube is also on the move again, and has started to lift runes out of the ground.

The cube has also spread to underground areas of the map, while the floating island moves to new locations.
