The sequel to Avengers Infinity War is released in just over half a year and Marvel fans still don’t know what it’s called.
And apart from that when can we expect the first trailer for Avengers 4?
Both big questions, but we’re not left entirely in the dark as discovered by MCU Cosmic.
Back in June Marvel boss Kevin Feige gave a time frame of when to expect a title and trailer.
Speaking with Collider at the Ant-Man and the Wasp press day he said: “That’ll be after the Captain Marvel teaser probably, announcing that title.
“It’ll be towards the end of the year with however we launch that film.”
Well we’ve now had the Captain Marvel teaser, so the Avengers 4 title and trailer are next in line.
And while Feige was specifically answering a question about the title, he did say that it will come with the “launch” of Avengers 4.
So that can surely only mean the first trailer of the Avengers Infinity War sequel.
It would make a lot of sense to either announce the trailer as “coming soon” with the title, or alternatively to show the teaser and end it with the title.
But apart from “towards the end of the year” is there any closer time frame?
Yes, and the clue is found in last year’s launch of Avengers Infinity War.
The Avengers Infinity War trailer was released globally on November 29, 2017.
With this in mind the Avengers 4 trailer and title will likely launch at some point around that time.
That is unless the fact that there’s no end of year MCU movie containing spoilers for the franchise’s narrative arc (it was Thor Ragnarok last October/November) means they release it even earlier.
Avengers 4 will be released in UK cinemas on April 26, 2019.
