Paul Pogba gives Jose Mourinho DEATH STARE after being stripped of Man Utd vice-captaincy

Pogba was dropped for Manchester United’s Carabao Cup defeat to Derby last night with Mourinho claiming he was resting the midfielder.

However, Mourinho later confirmed Pogba will no longer captain the Red Devils and it’s understood the Frenchman was informed of his manager’s decision in front of his team-mates.

And today in training at Manchester United’s Carrington training ground complex, Pogba was seen glaring at his manager when he jogged onto the field.

After greeting coach Michael Carrick with a handshake, Pogba then greets another one of United’s technical staff who is stood next to Mourinho.

However, Mourinho appeared to say something to Pogba which resulted in the Frenchman giving his manager a deathly stare.

The pair were then seen exchanging a number of words and Pogba did not look impressed.

Pogba has been critical of United with his latest comments coming after Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Wolves.

Pogba slammed the tactics and when asked how he could change them he threw Mourinho under the boss.

“We’re at home, and we should play much better against Wolves,” said Pogba.

“When we’re at home, we should attack, attack, attack. That’s Old Trafford. We’re here to attack. I think teams are scared when they see Manchester United attacking and attacking.

“That was our mistake.

“We should just attack and press, like we did against Tottenham, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal last season. When we play like this, it’s easier for us.”

When pressed on why United did not adopt a more positive approach, Pogba’s frustration was evident.

“I can’t tell you because I’m a player,” said Pogba. “It’s not me.

“I am not the manager, I cannot, like, say that, but obviously we should show more options of playing.

“But I cannot say that, because I’m a player. That’s my way of thinking – we should move better. We should move more, yeah.”

Pogba is now likely to leave United in January with Barcelona and Juventus potential destinations.

Pogba wanted to join Barca this summer after winning the World Cup with France but Ed Woodward refused to let him go.

However his future now looks in serious doubt while Mourinho is in charge.

He was dropped last night for the Carabao Cup defeat to Derby and left early before the penalty shoot out.
