Fortnite update 6.0 PATCH NOTES for huge Season 6 release

developer Epic Games has released early patch notes for update 6.0.

Update 6.0 goes live ahead of the start of Season 6, which kicks off on September 27.

The servers will go offline at around 9am UK time, at which point fans will be able to download the update.

With the full list of patch notes still to come, Epic Games has given fans a small taste of what to expect from the update 6.0.

According to the Fortnite Trello board, Epic Games is working on eliminating server and client hitches on Xbox One and PC.

The developer is also coming up with a fix for a misleading in-game message when using two-factor authentication.

There’s also a problem with blocked crosshairs when wearing certain outfits.

The next major Fortnite update will also include big changes to the game’s sound effects.

You can see for yourself in the update 6.0 patch notes below…

• More contrast between above/below steps.

• We want this to be easier to determine on the fly, especially while other sounds are playing (gunfire, harvesting, etc).

• More high frequency audio content to improve your ability to pinpoint the location of steps, and to prevent them from getting drowned out during intense combat.

Fortnite update 6.0 patch notes continued…

• Glider audio tells

• Increased awareness when an enemy is gliding in your vicinity.

• Doppler-based glider audio for incoming threats. This will create that “car passing by” effect when a player glides over top of you.

• Improved spatialization of both skydiving and gliding players.

• Ability to hear the open/close sounds of gliders from further away.
