Trump praises his own administration at UN – world leaders LAUGH at US President

showcased a mixture of surprise and pride after he had world leaders at the (UN) General Assembly meeting laughing in the middle of his speech.

As the US President praised the work of his administration since his election in 2016, murmurs among the attendees could be heard developing into laughter as Mr Trump spoke.

Mr Trump said: “In less than two years, my Administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country.”

As the audience laughed, Mr Trump added: “So true. Didn’t expect that reaction.”

In his 15-minute speech to the UN, Mr Trump launched a scathing attack against Tehran, accusing its leader of being aggressive towards their neighbours and only seeking to enrich themselves.

President Trump announced the US would launch a new set of measures to bring down what he branded a “corrupt dictatorship.”

He said: Iran’s leader sow chaos, death and destruction.

“They do not respect neighbours or borders or the sovereignty of nations. They enrich themselves and spread mayhem across the Middle East and far beyond.”

The sanctions were originally halted in 2015, when China, Russia, Britain, France, Germany, the European Union, Russia, the UK, Iran and the US signed the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action – also known as Iran nuclear deal.

Mr Trump also renewed his disapproval for the Iran nuclear deal, signed in 2015 by former US president Barack Obama.

The US president argued Iran’s military budget grew “nearly four percent” after the Iran nuclear deal was signed.

He added: “All nations should isolate Iran’s leadership as long as their aggression continues”.
