Fortnite season 6 skins release, Halloween 2018 update and map leaks

Big news was released today about the new and upcoming release of Fortnite Season 6.

Battle Royale players were given their first taste of what new gear might be coming to the battle pass later this week.

Epic Games posted a new teaser image to their official Twitter account, probably the first of many in the coming days.

Gamers have been relying on leaks up until this point, with no real information being released by the development team.

However, that all changed today with the launch of the first official season 6 teaser from Epic Games.

It includes what can only be described as DJ Llama, showcasing a metal head mask and trendy attire.

The new image also includes the recently melted cube “Kevin” who is currently making Loot Lake bouncy.

And the only reason we know for sure that this outfit is all about the bass is the accompanying caption, which reads: “All great parties need a DJ.”

And there’s a good chance that this will indeed be a Fortnite Season 6 skin as well.

Plenty of past teasers for a new Fortnite season have been used as outfits by Epic Games, so why not this one?

It certainly looks good enough to be an in-game design, and nothing like it has been used so far.

Season 5 teased the first customisable skin – The Drift Skin – in an early teaser, so there’s even a chance that this DJ Llama will have different phases to unlock too.

This will be just the first of a new wave of teasers released by Epic Games before season 6 starts.

It’s been scheduled to begin on September 27, so there are only three days left until things change massively.

A new battle pass will be released, and there are rumours of a significant map overhaul being worked on.

So far this includes more changes being made to Loot Lake, which was recently made bouncy by Kevin.

There’s a long-running theory that Loot Lake will eventually become a new biome, filled with lava and a volcano.

This idea hasn’t been officially endorsed by Epic Games, so fans will have to wait until Thursday for more details.

As usual, fans have heard a lot of rumours about what could be coming next, including stuff about how the Fortnite map might be changing.

One high-profile Twitch streamer has also provided a few teasers on what’s being planned for Halloween 2018.

Prominent Fortnite player, Ninja, believes Epic Games has something cool planned for the seasonal event. And while Epic Games have never neglected Halloween entirely, there’s a chance we could see some Getaway-style plans being cooked up.

Replying to questions, Ninja told fans on the subject of Halloween: “They gave me some interesting little hints and stuff.

“They showed me some cool up-and-coming things. I’m just pumped for… Halloween, dude.”

The latest hint from Ninja doesn’t provide a lot of information, but it does give us enough to make some predictions.

From what was teased, Epic Games are probably planning a Fortnite Halloween event.

And if there is a Halloween event, you can probably expect some new skins and cosmetic items.

This seems a given based on what happened last year, although some fans will be more interested in grabbing older gear.

The Skull Trooper is an obvious choice for a returning outfit and is a highly sought-after item.

This is due to its rarity, with a lot fewer gamers playing Fortnite when it was first launched.

New Halloween Fortnite skins will likely drop during season 6 and will likely be followed by other seasonal designs.
