Fallout 76 beta date news: Big Fallout beta release update for PS4 and Xbox following leak

Last week saw a leak emerge that apparently included news on the Fallout 76 beta.

Planning to go live in October, fans still don’t have any official news on the release date for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The test will be a massive milestone for fans before the official launch date, which is set for November.

A leak was recently posted online by a fan, which came about following a conversation with an Amazon, customer representative.

During the conversation, it was implied that the Fallout 76 beta release date was set for October 8, 2018.

And as you might expect, this is in no way concrete proof that the Fallout 76 beta will launch on that day.

There’s been plenty of these stories in the past involving Amazon representatives, some of them proving true, a lot turning out to be off the mark.

So it’s fair to say that fans should take it with a big pinch of salt.

It’s now believed that the October 8 release date is a placeholder that has been released to retailers, and is not the official date.

That doesn’t mean it can’t happen on, or around that day, it just means that right now it isn’t confirmed.

The good news is that Bethesda is expected to release more news about the upcoming Fallout 76 beta before the end of September.

And that would mean details being confirmed over the next seven days.

And it won’t just be news surrounding the beta, but more details on how the game will work as a whole.

It’s not like Bethesda have been keeping tightlipped about their plans of late.

Plenty of new information has been shared this week, one of the big ones being the name of the new Fallout map.

This has been confirmed as Appalachia, an existing area that encompasses West Virginia.

This information was shared by the Fallout 76 social media team along with a picture of a new Guitar Sword weapon.

“How does Appalachia differ from the Commonwealth or Capital Wasteland? It starts with a Guitar Sword,” the caption for the new image reads.

It should also be noted that the official Fallout website confirms that the upcoming Fallout 76 beta will launch first on Xbox One, followed by PS4 and PC.

That would suggest that Xbox players will get at least one extra day to play the beta before everyone else.

So when Bethesda do announce their Fallout 76 beta, expect there to be at least two launch dates confirmed.

Prominent people at Bethesda Studios have also hinted that the beta will start with a small group of players and expand from there.

So it’s possible select groups of players will get earlier access than others, although this could just be in connection with alpha testing.

Fallout 76 is a game developed by Bethesda Studios and being released on PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 14, 2018.
