Trump Missouri rally LIVE: US President supports GOP candidates ahead of crunch election

President Trump is holding his second rally in two nights, and is seeking to unseat Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill, who is considered to be one of the most vulnerable Democrats. 

She is one of 10 Democratic Senators up for re-election in the November midterm elections. 

President Trump is also likely to tackle the issue of Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court, and accusations of sexual assault made against him by Dr Christine Blasey Ford.

Trump won Missouri during the 2016 presidential election, defeating opponent Hillary Clinton by double digits.

Josh Hawley is battling to unseat Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill.

Trump has previously campaigned for and endorsed Hawley in the Republican state’s Senate race.

He has previously told the audience telling an audience “We need Josh badly.”

The President hailed the stock market’s “all-time high.”

He said: “Our country is respected again, remember that.

“Respected again. Hello Missouri.

“I’m thrilled to be back in the American heartland, I love you people – thousands of hardworking patriots.

“This is an incredible time for our nation. We have the best economy in our history today.

“In fact, the stock market, which to me is jobs, the stock market hit an all-time high again.

“And that would mean that 101 days, we hit an all-time high in the stock market.

“And I don’t say me, I say we because it’s about we.”
