Fortnite season 6 teaser LEAK: First official artwork for Battle Royale update REVEALED?

is kicking off next week and as fans wait patiently for the first teasers from Epic Games official artwork for the new Battle Pass may have leaked.

Fortnite fans were left hoping that the game’s official Twitter account would post teasers hinting at what’s to come in Fortnite season 6.

In the lead up to Fortnite season 4 and Fortnite season 5 Epic Games published teasers in the days leading up to the Battle Pass launch.

And, with Fortnite season 5 initially pencilled in to end on Monday September 24, fans were hoping teaser images would be revealed today or yesterday.

But, instead of revealing a season 6 teaser today Epic Games instead confirmed the release date for the new Battle Pass.

And Fortnite season 6 is launching later than anticipated.

The official Fortnite Twitter revealed that Fortnite season 6 has a release date of Thursday September 27.

This also means that the final full day for Fortnite season 5 will be Wednesday September 26.

The Fortnite Twitter posted: “Season 6 is now dropping from the Battle Bus on September 27.

“Celebrate its arrival and unlock those final Battle Pass rewards with an additional 400% Match XP all weekend, from now until September 24 at 8 AM ET (1200 GMT).

“Glide into the party.”

And ahead of this official announcement being made the first artwork for Fortnite season 6 looks to have been leaked.

On Twitter a Fortnite fan posted an alleged picture of a Fortnite season 6 promo.

The image shows what looks like a standee advert outside a store teasing Fortnite season 6 alongside a “coming soon” tagline.

The Fortnite season 6 artwork appears to show the lightning that caused the cube to emerge as well as a Fortnite cube-style purple background.

The image was revealed in a post by Twitter user Harry McCarthy alongside the caption: “The first Fortnite Season 6 link? #Fortnite #FortniteSeason6”.

In a separate tweet Harry said that the Fortnite season 6 artwork was spotted outside an EB Games store in Australia.

So what does this all mean?

Well, if this indeed is a shot of Fortnite season 6 artwork then it could be hinting the Fortnite cube may play a role in the new Battle Pass.

On Wednesday the Fortnite cube finished its more than three week long journey around the Battle Royale map by melting into Loot Lake.

But fans were left convinced that that wouldn’t be the last we’d see of this mysterious event.

Tweeter @siloxleaks has been following the cube ever since it emerged more than three weeks in Fortnite Battle Royale.

And after the Fortnite cube melted into Loot Lake they tweeted: “I currently believe the cube is printing or something in loot lake, give it 24 hours.

“Remember there is ALWAYS something else!”

This was also hinted at on Twitter by Mark Rein, Vice President and Co-Founder of Epic Games.

When questioned if that was it for the Fortnite cube, he tweeted: “This is @FortniteGame – there’s ALWAYS something else :)”.

Twitter user Silox has also noticed today that the runes the cube left behind have been making a weird sound since the cube melted into Loot Lake.

Could this be a hint that the Fortnite cube isn’t quite done yet and it’ll spark something else?

So what could it be? It had long been rumoured that the Fortnite cube could turn Loot Lake into a lava filled area complete with a volcano.

Could we still see the Fortnite volcano and the rivers of lava emerge from the bouncy purple layer covering Loot Lake?

Or maybe this purple film will crack open and whatever will be the catalyst for Fortnite season 6 will emerge from it?

We will find out for sure soon enough, and we may get a hint of what Fortnite season 6 holds for fans any moment now.

The last time a new Fortnite season launched on a Thursday the first teaser about the upcoming Battle Pass emerged on a Monday.

Could that be the case again for Fortnite season 6?

In the lead up to Fortnite season 5 the game’s official Twitter account posted teasers around 3pm UK time.

This is 10am eastern time and 7am pacific, so stay tuned for more news then at the start of next week.
