Fallout 76 beta date LEAK: Big Fallout beta release news for PS4 and Xbox One

The Fallout 76 beta release date has reportedly leaked early, providing a possible schedule for October.

While not confirmed officially, news has surfaced online that suggests the Fallout 76 beta will be commencing in just a few weeks.

A post on Reddit suggests that the big Bethesda test will commence on Monday, October 8.

The source of the reveal is a discussion with an Amazon representative, following a pre-order customer not getting their beta code.

As you might expect, this is in no way concrete proof that the Fallout 76 beta will launch on that day.

There’s been plenty of these stories in the past involving Amazon representatives, some of them proving true, alot turning out to be false.

So it’s fair to say that fans should take it with a big pinch of salt.

Bethesda themselves have confirmed they want to hold the Fallout 76 beta in early October, so if not the 8th, perhaps a date close to it.

It should also be noted that the official Fallout website confirms that Fallout 76 will launch first on Xbox One, followed by PS4 and PC.

That would suggest that Xbox players will get at least one extra day to play the beta before everyone else.

So when Bethesda do announce their Fallout 76 beta, expect there to be at least two launch dates confirmed.

Prominent people at Bethesda Studios have also hinted that the beta will start with a small group of players and expand from there.

So it’s possible select groups of players will get earlier access than others, although this could just be about alpha testing.

Game director Pete Hines has already confirmed that Bethesda is dedicated to supporting the game for the long term.

In a recent interview with the Metro, Hines confirmed that Fallout 76 would continue to receive support, just like Bethesda’s past game have.

“I’m not being ironic. Like, forever,” he revealed to the Metro.

“Because other people have said, ‘Is your timeline two years or five years?’ And I said, ‘Well, they’re still playing Morrowind and you go online and look at how many people are playing Fallout 4 and Skyrim.

“Those games have been out for four and seven years, and there are literally hundreds of thousands of people playing those games every single day, every single month.

“So Fallout 76, our timeline is in perpetuity. Now what that content is gonna be, and what that’s gonna look like, I’m not sure. Part of our thing is we need to get people in the game and see how they respond.

“We’ve even taken this approach for past DLC. I don’t know if you remember Fallout 3? The big consumer reaction when we launched that game was that they were all upset that it had an ending.

“And we were like, ‘All the previous games had an ending! We thought we were sticking to what that franchise is…’

“But they didn’t want an ending, and we had a couple of DLCs in the works but the third one we did we were like, ‘Well, we need a DLC that removes the ending of the game and allows you to continue on’.

“So 76 is going to be like that. We have some ideas for this and that, but let’s see what people want more of. Let’s see what they respond to and support that.”

Fallout 76 is a game developed by Bethesda Studios being released on PS4, Xbox One and PC in November 2018.
