EVERTON 0-1 WEST HAM

25: It should be 1-1. Lucas Digne blazes down the left and sends a wonderful cross over to Cenk Tosun, who heads straight at Fabianski. Either side and Everton would be level.

Just one goal in 12 appearances for the Turkey international, who is currently killing my fantasy football team.

22: Arnautovic hits the deck under pressure from Holgate but there’s very little in that. The Sky Sports cameras pan to Richarlison, who is sitting in the stands today. How Everton are missing the Brazilian.

19: Everton supporters are not impressed with what they are seeing here. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is booked for tugging back Mark Noble. It’s all West Ham at the minute.

16: Andriy Yarmolenko is the fourth Ukrainian player to score in the Premier League (also Rebrov, Shevchenko and Voronin) and the first since Andriy Voronin for Liverpool against Spurs in May 2008.

15: Close! Felipe Anderson whips a cross in from the right and Obiang nearly diverts the ball past Pickford, but the Everton stopper makes a decent save.

13: West Ham aren’t resting on their laurels here – they want a second. Everton’s defence just parts the second a high ball is delivered and Arnautovic or Yarmolenko are picking up the pieces.

EVERTON 0-1 WEST HAM | YARMOLENKO

11: West Ham have barely entered Everton territory but they find themselves ahead here at Goodison Park thanks to Andriy Yarmolenko.

Obiang plays a simple and direct ball over the top that Arnautovic collects. The Austrian drives towards goal and unselfishly picks out the unmarked Yarmolenko, who rifles it past Jordan Pickford.

Those six changes might just have done the trick!

10: Walcott leaves Masuaku for dead down the right before weaving his way into the penalty area and winning a corner, which is promptly cleared by Zabaleta. Gueye looks for a 40-yard stonker but barely prods it three feet. Not one for the highlights reel.

8: Both sides just sizing each other up in these early stages before Mark Noble spanks a 40-yard crossfield pass straight out of play.

5: Yarmolenko does his defensive duties when tracking back to usher Digne out of play over in the far corner by the travelling West Ham supporters, who are making themselves heard.

3: The Toffees are immediately on the front-foot with Gylfi Sigurdsson and Theo Walcott exchanging a couple of passes before the Iceland international sees an effort blocked.

Lucas Digne then looks to drive one from range but he’s sliced it high and wide. I’ll be nice and call that one a sighter.

EVERTON 0-0 WEST HAM

1: And we’re off! I’ve got a sneaky suspicion that this is going to be a crazy afternoon. So my prediction (that I will definitely change should I be wrong) is a ludicrous 4-2 to the Toffees. You heard it here first…

TWO-MINUTE WARNING

15:58: We’re almost underway folks. The players have just emerged to a sunny Goodison Park to Z-Cars. Big day for Gylfi Sigurdsson, who is Everton’s captain for the first time today.

TWITTER SPAT

15:55: Manuel Pellegrini says he’s not angry about reports that West Ham starting line-ups are being leaked.

The West Ham boss remains adamant he is unfazed by the Twitter account, which it has been reported correctly predicted more than 60 Hammers starting teams.

The social media account has more than 50,000 followers, who are often told the starting line-up well in advance of it being officially published on the club’s channels.

But Hammers manager Pellegrini believes it makes little difference if the public know his starting team ahead of time.

Asked if he is angry about the repeated leaks, Pellegrini replied: “No. First of all the news is not true, because I’m not angry about that. Normally in every team that I have managed, the day before the game, I work with set-pieces, so all the players know the day before who will play and who will not play.”

CH-CH-CH-CHANGES…

15:50: West Ham have made six changes to their starting line-up from their previous Premier League game; the most changes the Hammers have made in the Premier League since January 2014 v Cardiff (7 changes).

Now I have absolutely no idea what you’re supposed to do with that information. Enjoy!

TWITTER ROUND-UP

Brad: So here we go again. Fifth game in and does West Ham’s season start yet? Keeping the faith as much as I can but what more do we honestly expect? Tough afternoon ahead.

Roger: To spend £100million and still end up with a midfield trio of Obiang, Rice and Noble illustrates just how poor the recruitment strategy has been at West Ham.

Kev: Life as a West Ham fan, looking forward to 90 minutes of pulling my hair out and screaming at the TV.

TEAM NEWS – WEST HAM

15:40: Manuel Pellegrini isn’t messing around here. The Chilean makes SIX changes from the Wolves defeat.

Pablo Zabaleta, Arthur Masuaku, Pedro Obiang, Declan Rice, Mark Noble and Andriy Yarmolenko replace Ryan Fredericks, Aaron Cresswell, Carlos Sanchez, Jack Wilshere, Robert Snodgrass and Michail Antonio.

Javier Hernandez is out of the squad having picked up a virus. Crucial changes or desperation?

TEAM NEWS – EVERTON

15:35: Right, let’s start with the hosts.

Marco Silva has made two changes to the side who drew with Huddersfield before the international break.

Jonjo Kenny replaces the injured Seamus Coleman, who is likely to be sidelines for at least two weeks. Elsewhere Idrissa Gueye is preferred to Tom Davies in central midfield.

It’s quite a youthful defence for the Toffees today with Kurt Zouma and Mason Holgate being flanked by Kenny and summer signing Lucas Digne, who is selected ahead of Leighton Baines.

EVERTON vs WEST HAM

Everton’s injury crisis has eased with Theo Walcott, Idrissa Gana Gueye, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Bernard all in contention. Defender Yerry Mina trained with the squad for the first time since his

move from Barcelona after recovering from a foot injury, while midfielder James McCarthy has also returned from a broken leg. Defender Seamus Coleman will be out for two weeks with a stress fracture of the foot and forward Richarlison serves the final match of his suspension, while Phil Jagielka (knee), Andre Gomes (hamstring) and Michael Keane (head) are still absent.

Jack Wilshere will miss the trip after picking up an ankle problem in training. West Ham will assess the former Arsenal star next week before determining how long he will be out of action. Striker Javier Hernandez has a virus so will also miss out, while Andy Carroll, Manuel Lanzini and Winston Reid remain long-term absentees.
