SAO PAULO (Reuters) – Brazil’s far-right presidential candidate Jair Bolsonaro, who remains in intensive care after being stabbed at a campaign rally, maintained his lead in a Datafolha election poll on Friday.

The poll found that Bolsonaro took 26 percent of voter support among those surveyed, up two percentage points from the same poll on Monday.
It is the first poll taken since former Sao Paulo Mayor Fernando Haddad became the Workers Party presidential candidate – he polled 13 percent, up from 9 percent. Leftist Ciro Gomes hit stayed even at 13 percent.
Business-friendly candidate Geraldo Alckmin had 9 percent, down a percentage point. Environmentalist Marina Silva registered 8 percent.
