England vs Spain: What time is Nations League match? TV channel, live stream, odds

Gareth Southgate says England must convince themselves the run to the semi-finals of the World Cup during the summer was not a one-off.

The Three Lions created a buzz for supporters at home as they reached the final four of a major tournament for the first time since Euro 96.

Southgate’s men matched the achievements of Sir Bobby Robson’s 1990 squad, and their efforts will be acknowledged by a sell-out crowd at Wembley.

Harry Kane is also set to be presented with the Golden Boot before the Nations League clash with Spain.

Southgate, though, insists his England side cannot afford to bask in the afterglow of Russia for long.

“We’ve got to convince ourselves it wasn’t a one-off,” Southgate said.

“That’s the most important thing. That was a moment in time and it’ll be a summer (to remember).”

He added: “Our focus has to be how we get better.

“We need to get better to be able to compete at the highest level, with the best teams.”

England team news vs Spain

Southampton goalkeeper Alex McCarthy could make his debut after being rewarded for his impressive form with a first international call-up.

However, England will be light in midfield after Raheem Sterling (back) and Adam Lallana (groin) withdrew from the squad with injuries.

Luke Shaw has returned to the England fold following a strong start to the season despite Manchester United’s poor results.

This match will be Spain’s first under new boss Luis Enrique, with the former Barcelona manager looking to put his mark on the national side.
