Transfer news LIVE: Pogba and Martial to LEAVE Man Utd, Jorginho revelation – latest news

Vertonghen’s new deal

Jan Vertonghen is expecting to extend his Tottenham contract.

The Tottenham defender’s current deal runs out at the end of the season but he thinks he will pen a new year-long deal.

“My contract is expiring at the end of the season, but Tottenham have an option to extend it with one year,” he told Belgian media.

“I think they will take up the option. We’ll see what happens.”

Real Madrid ‘don’t miss Ronaldo’

Isco insists Real Madrid do NOT miss Cristiano Ronaldo following his move to Juventus.

“Cris is an extraordinary player,” Isco said.

“He guaranteed you 40 to 50 goals. But if we win, they’ll say we don’t miss him and if we don’t win, they’ll say we do.

“We’re playing very well now; players who didn’t score as many goals last year are now filling their boots. We don’t miss him at the moment. I wish him all the best at Juve.”

United change stance on Pogba

Manchester United have began shifting their position on Paul Pogba and would now consider selling him to Barcelona should a £200m bid come in, according to the Independent.

Pogba has been linked with Barca and claimed he doesn’t know what will happen in the coming months.

United would consider a huge bid if Pogba told them he wanted to go with Lazio ace Sergei Milinkovic-Savic a potential replacement.

United were adamant Pogba would not be sold last summer and Ed Woodward would still prefer to keep him.

Jorginho ‘agreed’ Man City deal

Jorginho would have joined Manchester City if they had agreed a fee with Napoli.

That is according to the Brazil-born midfielder’s agent Joao Santos, who says personal terms had been sorted with the Premier League champions.

“It was all done with Jorginho,” Santos said, when asked about the prospective move to City. There was an agreement, but there was no agreement between the clubs.

“All parties have to agree, and one did not. Then Chelsea asked what the situation was after Sarri arrived and Jorginho went to London.”

Martial calls off talks

Anthony Martial has called off contract talks with Manchester United after growing disillusioned at the club.

Martial wanted to leave this summer but United refused to sell and opened talks over a new deal with him.

But the Sun report he has called off talks until Jose Mourinho’s position is clearer.

Martial was fined for not returning to America after the birth of his season and has played just once this season.

Pogba on his future

Paul Pogba admits he could leave Manchester United in the coming months.

The United midfielder was linked with Barcelona in the summer and his agent Mino Raiola was trying to get him a move.

“My future is currently in Manchester,” Pogba told Sky in Germany.

“I still have a contract, I’m playing there at the moment, but who knows what will happen in the near future.”
