Black Ops 4 Blackout beta release date and how to get a code WITHOUT a pre-order

Call of Duty fans can check out the Black Ops 4 Blackout beta soon.

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 will launch alongside its new Battle Royale mode Blackout on October 12.

But before the release of Black Ops 4, fans can try the brand new Blackout mode on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The Call of Duty Blackout beta starts on September 10 at 6pm UK time, but only for PS4 pre-order customers.

The Call of Duty Blackout beta continues on September 14 at 6pm, when it opens up to Xbox One and PC users.

The Blackout beta lasts until 6pm BST on September 17, which means PS4 pre-order customers get a week of action.

If you want to try Blackout Battle Royale and don’t have a pre-order, you can try the new game mode at 6pm UK time on September 15.

Unfortunately, however, the open beta is only available on PC, so you’d better check if your PC can run the game.

Anybody with a code for the previous Black Ops 4 closed beta will automatically be entered in the Blackout beta.

Everybody else should redeem their codes on the Blackout website.

“In Blackout, Black Ops comes to life in a massive battle royale experience that features signature Call of Duty combat, land, air and sea vehicles, looting, a wealth of weapons and equipment, and more — all in the largest Call of Duty map in franchise history,” reads an Activision blog post.

“Blackout is a celebration of the Black Ops universe, so you’ll get to play as a number of classic and current characters.

“This includes characters from Zombies and Multiplayer as well as previous campaigns. You’ll also get to loot and equip a ton of different weapons.”

You can check out the brand new Blackout gameplay trailer at the top of the page.
