Cincinnati shooting: Police hunt ‘ACTIVE SHOOTER’ – three killed, five hurt in bank attack

A Cincinnati city council official said there had been “fatalities” with police warning of an “active shooter”.

Witnesses reported seeing victims on stretchers. At least four people have been taken to hospital.

Workers in the area have been told to shelter in their officers.

Cincinnati police said on Twitter: “Police are investigating an active shooter / officer-involved shooting incident at Fifth Third Bank at 511 Walnut Street in lobby and loading dock.”

Police Chief Eliot Isaac said: “There’s something deeply sick at work here and we as a country need to work on it.”

One witness told the Cincinnati Enquirer: “I looked behind me and saw the guy – he shot and then he shot again. After that I started running. I went around to the north side of the building and sat down.”

Another witness said he heard at least 15 shots.
