EE has just announced the ultimate plans for those who always want the best smartphone in their pocket.
The mobile network is launching something called ‘Upgrade Anytime’ which allows customers to switch their devices before their 24-month contract is up.
To make the deal even more enticing, EE is even allowing some users to make the change to a new phone without paying a penny.
The network says this move forms part of EE’s ‘Best Connected’ plan to provide customers with the best connections, the most personal and local service, and the best smartphone experiences in the UK.
Along with free upgrades the new plans also include faster 4G data speeds, free access to the BT Sport app; and inclusive roaming to over 50 destinations around the world, including Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico and the USA.
Speaking about the new plans, Edward Goff, Marketing Director, EE, said: “We’re seeing more and more outstanding devices launched every year, and many customers don’t want to wait 24 months to upgrade.
“So we’re introducing new Upgrade Anytime plans, to ensure they can get the latest smartphones in their hands when they want them, and stay connected with the most advanced 4G network in the UK.”
It’s worth noting that those wishing to change their phones within six months will have to pay a £200 fee with dropping to £100 if you switch before 12-months is up.
This latest update comes after EE announced another new service in July called Flex plans.
This concept is aimed at the millions of customers who want the flexibility of a pay as you go deal but on a monthly payment option.
Taking out a Flex plan allows you to change the amount of data, calls and texts at any time and there’s even the option to pause or stop a plan and take a break whenever you like.
However, perhaps one of the most appealing parts of this deal is that EE will allow those on these new 30-day plans to roll over their unused data to the following month.
If you live in London there’s even more good news as you can now have your new phone sent to you as quickly as two hours after ordering.
EE is also offering a personalised set up experience to help people get their new device up and running.
Available on the latest flagship smartphones when ordered through the EE online shop, customers just need to select the free ‘superfast delivery with expert set-up’ option at the online checkout.
Customers can then simply choose the most convenient appointment date, time that suits them, and delivery address in greater London.
