Avengers 4: Return of THIS dead character confirmed? Reshoots adding ‘a LOT more of him’

A huge number of Marvel favourites turned to dust at the end of this year’s Avengers: Infinity War – but fans have always expected at least some of them to come back.

Now, it seems King T’Challa – aka Black Panther – could be featuring more heavily than was initially planned.

Atlanta Filming has reported that based on information included locations booked for the reshoots and the casting calls placed, the crew will be heading back to Wakanda.

“Based on the locations and the casting it looks like #Avengers4 will have a whole lot more #BlackPanther in it than #AvengersInfinityWar,” they tweeted.

“So that’s less a reshoot and more an addition of goodness.”

Reshoots are scheduled to take place this autumn, ahead of the film’s release in the spring of 2019.

Principle photography finished almost an entire year ago, after being done back-to-back with Infinity War – meaning the cast and crew have had to keep their mouths shut on spoilers for a very long time now.

King T’Challa’s return, if true, won’t be too much of a shock for fans – given that his solo vehicle Black Panther, released in February, was a record-shattering smash hit.

As for the other fallen heroes, their fates remain unclear.

Spider-Man is all but guaranteed to be back, given that his own next film – Spider-Man: Far From Home – is already in production and slated for release next summer.

Evangeline Lilly’s The Wasp could also be back, given that permanently killing off the first female hero to feature in the title of an MCU film would perhaps be a bad look.

What is more certain is who is joining the fun this time around: Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers is the one with the most hype, with her Captain Marvel expected to pay a key part in the fightback against Thanos.

Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man and Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye are also expected to show up after sitting out of Infinity War.

Fan theories and speculation have revolved heavily around the concepts of time travel, the quantum realm, and the abilities of the Soul Stone and Mind Stone.

For answers, we still have a long few months to wait.

Avengers 4 is out in 2019.
