Lamborghini Aventador SVJ REVEALED – Monstrous 770 hp supercar performance and specs

Lamborghini has unveiled the all-new Aventador SVJ supercar.

The new supercar launched on the 23 August at ‘The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering” in the USA. It has finally debuted after a few months of teasing and it does not disappoint.

The car is a more muscular and aggressive version than the Aventador with sharp air intakes, large spoiler and massive air intakes at the side.

In addition to this the front splitter solid rear diffuser, dual exhaust, and gill-like rear end.

Powering the car is a 6.5-litre V12 petrol engine which produces 770 hp and 720 Nm of torque.

This gargantuan powertrain will allow the vehicle to sprint from 0-62mph in just 2.8 seconds and from 0-124mph in 8.6 seconds. Its top speed has been set at 217mph.

Lamborghini has achieved this by producing a lighter weight car weighing in at 1,525kg giving it a weight to power ratio of 1.98 kg/hp.

The car has been tested at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, and the carmaker says that the philosophy behind the SVJ is to create a ‘demanding driver’s perfect car’.

It goes to achieve this in some way, by fitting it with Lamborghini’s patented active aerodynamics system and aero vectoring.

Both of these systems have been enhanced for the SVJ, along with a redesign of the chassis, enhanced powertrain, re-engineered chassis, improved stiffness, enhanced rear-wheel steering, increased stiffness and significantly improved downforce.

“We are truly delighted to host the European debut of the new SVJ,” commented Salon Privé Founding Directors Andrew and David Bagley.

“It is an honour for us to be involved in the debut of such an important ground-breaking car and we know visitors to Salon Privé will appreciate the opportunity to see this new Lamborghini just as it has been unveiled.”

It will make its European debut at Salon Privé, which takes place at Blenheim Palace from Thursday 30 August to Saturday 1 September.
