Liverpool done deal?

Has Loris Karius left Liverpool for Besiktas?

There has been no official announcement but the Turkish club appear to have jumped the gun, revealing the player has joined them on their official Twitter page.

Karius was expected to leave Liverpool before the summer was out after his disastrous Champions League final performance led to the Reds signing Alisson.

A move to Besiktas has been on the cards for a few days now and it appears the Turkish club have got their man.

Neymar to Real Madrid latest

Real Madrid had hoped for a ruling from UEFA on PSG’s finances today. But it looks as though that will not happen.

Reports in Spain claimed Real could have a chance of signing Neymar if UEFA found PSG to have breached FFP rules.

European football’s governing body could have threatened the expel PSG from the Champions League unless they balanced the books.

But the appeal is taking longer than expected and may not be addressed fully until the transfer window is closed.

Hazard to Real Madrid off

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has ruled out selling Eden Hazard this season – becuase he cannot sign a replacement.

The Premier League transfer window closed earlier this month with Chelsea managing to keep Hazard away from Real Madrid.

And while the Belgian could still move to Real before Spain’s window closes on August 31, Sarri is confident the Blues will keep their star man.

“I cannot sell without the possibility to buy another player at the same level. So I think Eden will stay with us for the whole season,” he said.

Man Utd wanted Mandzukic

How close were Manchester United to signing Mario Mandzukic this summer?

Well, according to Calico Mercato the club offered him a £4.5m-a-season deal to move to Old Trafford.

However, Juventus succeeded in keeping the forward because Mandzukic himself wanted to stay loyal to manager Max Allegri.

Mandzukic helped Croatia reach the World Cup final this summer and is happy to battle for a starting role at Juve alongside Gonzalo Higuain, Paulo Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Real Madrid wait on Neymar

Real Madrid could get a glimmer of hope on signing Neymar TODAY!

PSG will hear from UEFA if they have breached Financial Fair Play rules – and if they have then a fire sale could ensue.

It is unlikely PSG will have to offload someone as valuable as Neymar, who has a £200m price tag on his head.

But reports in Spain claim Real could test the waters once again for the ex-Barcelona star if UEFA order PSG to bring in cash fast.

Arsenal deals slammed

Arsenal’s transfer business has been slammed by ex-Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy.

“I thought Arsenal’s transfer business was average at best and I think the fans would have every right to be disappointed,” he told Bwin.

“Arsenal didn’t make any star signings that would make them competitive again and I think the club will struggle enormously to get into the top four.

“They still look very vulnerable in defence and they have a very long way to go before they can even think about challenging for the top four again. Arsenal needed to have a massive transfer window and they didn’t address the issues well enough.”

Real Madrid hope

Real Madrid could still make a move for Valencia striker Rodrigo after his manager Marcelino conceded an agreement between the three parties may happen.

Valencia have demanded Real meet Rodrigo’s £107m release clause but the player may be allowed to move for less as the Spanish transfer window looms.

“I can not make those predictions,” Marcelino said in a press conference today. “I can only say that Rodrigo is with us, he is very happy and I would like for the good of Valencia to stay with us because he is a very important player.

“But if three parties agree to give another situation… we will have to accept it and I will congratulate it.”

Barcelona agree striker deal

Barcelona will offload striker Paco Alcacer onto Borussia Dortmund.

The two club are said to have agreed a deal to send the 24-year-old to Germany.

Alcacer will move to Dortmund on loan for the 2018/19 season, with an option to make the deal permanent next summer.

Dortmund have sought a new attacking talent ever since Ousmane Dembele left them for Barcelona last year.

Man Utd Pogba latest

Could Barcelona sign Paul Pogba this summer? It seems unlikely but there is reportedly a way of making the deal happen.

Barcelona will have to sell at least two players before entering the transfer window for a replacement.

Marca claim deals for Pogba or Ajax youngster Frenkie De Jong are unlikely this summer.

But if the club offload a number of midfielders – PSG for example want Ivan Rakitic – then a move for Pogba could be on the cards.
