Detectives on Friday were searching for a strangler who killed a former Playboy model whose body was found in the bedroom of an upscale condominium outside Philadelphia.

Christina Carlin-Kraft’s body was discovered at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday after the Lower Merion Township Police were asked to check up on her, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office said in a statement.

“An autopsy performed at the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office determined the cause of death was ligature strangulation and manner of death homicide,” the statement read.

While the crime scene was sealed off, detectives combed through the complex for evidence and collected surveillance video from nearby businesses at the Ardmore Farmers Market and Suburban Square, NBC Philadelphia reported.

Neighbors told the Associated Press that Carlin-Kraft had just moved in the previous week.

The DA’s office said “there does not appear to be any current concern to residents in the area.”

On modeling profile, the 36-year-old described herself as having a “Russian and German background with a hint of Swedish.”

“I’ve done runway shows, print work, commercials for jewelry and evening gowns, and i (sic) did a tasteful photo shoot for Playboy that was beyond hollywood (sic) glamour,” her posting said.

In addition to Playboy, Carlin-Kraft’s modeling credits included Maxim, David Yurman and MAC Cosmetics.

Carlin-Kraft also had an arrest record, according to NBC and other news accounts. She was charged with misdemeanor assault and other charges in 2016 after she got into a scuffle with the manager of a New York City restaurant called The Smith.

The model allegedly hit Sergey Anokhin is the neck and kicked him in the groin after she and her male companion began arguing with him over the bill, according to the accounts. Prosecutors later agreed to drop the charges.

When NBC News called the restaurant Friday, a receptionist said they don’t have a manager by that name.
