Xbox Gamescom 2018 live stream: How to watch Inside Xbox online, Elite Controller 2 rumour

Xbox fans will be getting a host of new announcements at Gamescom 2018.

A special edition of Inside Xbox is being shown today where the rumoured Elite Controller 2 could get revealed.

Last week it was claimed that a new Xbox One controller codenamed Washburn was in the works which will have a $149 price point.

It’s possible that this new premium Xbox One controller could get unveiled during the Inside Xbox event today.

These rumours have only been given more weight after it emerged earlier that the Xbox Accessories team are in Cologne for Gamescom.

Pictures have also emerged of a covered area of the Xbox Gamescom booth which could be housing the new controller.

The images showed a cordoned-off section of the Xbox booth covered by a big black cloth with a standee in front saying “new reveal coming tomorrow”.

While the Elite Controller 2 reveal is rumoured, what is certain is a number of exclusive Xbox games will get updates during Gamescom 2018.

In a post last week the Xbox team revealed there will be Forza Horizon 4, Sea of Thieves, and State of Decay 2 news at Gamescom 2018.

They said: “Inside Xbox kicks off one of the world’s largest video game shows with a live broadcast direct from Cologne, Germany on Tuesday, August 21 at 7:30 a.m. PDT/10:30 a.m. EDT on Mixer, Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.

“Our gamescom content will include the latest on Forza Horizon 4, Sea of Thieves, and State of Decay 2, plus breaking news, exclusive interviews and never-before-seen content for many other games.

“Stay tuned @Xbox on Twitter and here on Xbox Wire for the latest Inside Xbox: Live @ gamescom news, and mark August 21 on your calendar so you don’t miss out!”

One announcement that could be made during the Xbox Gamescom event may be related to Halo.

Earlier this month rumours emerged that Forza Horizon 4 would have a Halo-based mission.

The rumours came after a leaked image was posted on Imgur which allegedly showed a Forza Horizon 4 mission inspired by the original Halo.

It appeared to show a mission similar to The Silent Cartographer from Halo Combat Evolved.

That mission saw players dropped onto a beach and then get behind the wheel of a Warthog as they drove around an island.

If you want to watch the Xbox Gamescom event then there’s a number of ways you can live stream it.
