GAMESCOM 2018 – UPDATE THREE: The Shenmue 3 release date has been revealed.
In a pre-recorded video presented by Yu Suzuki, new footage of Shenmue 3 was showcased and when it will launch was announced.
Shenmue 3 will be out on PS4 and PCs on August 27 2017.
Koch Media, who are releasing Shenmue 3 with Deep Silver, also announced a new title for Nintendo Switch.
They revealed that Saints Row The Third will be heading to the hit hybrid console.
They also announced DLC for Kingdom Come Deliverance.

GAMESCOM 2018 – UPDATE TWO: Michel Koch, Creative Director from Square Enix, took to the Gamescom 2018 stage to reveal more on Life Is Strange 2.
Koch showcased the trailer for Life is Strange 2 and also revealed that LiS 2 will be playable at Gamescom 2018.
Ubisoft then took to the stage to reveal The Settlers History Edition, which brings with it all seven games in the series.
The Settlers History Edition will be out on November 15.
A brand new Settlers game, simply called The Settlers, and a trailer for it was also revealed. It will be out in ‘fall 2019’.

GAMESCOM 2018 – UPDATE TWO: Supermassive Games have announced The Dark Pictures Anthology to kickstart the Gamescom 2018 opening ceremony.
The Dark Pictures Anthology is a set of stand alone horror games that is being released in collaboration with Bandai Namco.
The new series, which is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PCs in 2019, will be kicked off with Man of Medan.
A creepy first trailer was showcased, showing mysterious things going bump in the night on a very unsettling looking boat.
The second game showcased during Gamescom 2018 was a new game in the Desperados series.
It’s coming from Shadow Tactics developers Mimimi Productions and THQ Nordic.

ORIGINAL: Gamescom 2018 – Europe’s largest gaming show – is kicking off today in Cologne, Germany with a big opening ceremony.
The Gamescom 2018 opening ceremony kicks off at 11am local time, which is 10am BST today.
Multiple publishers will showcase “global premieres” for their games during the Gamescom 2018 opening ceremony.
One high profile game that will appear during the two hour opening ceremony is Shenmue 3.
Legendary game designer Yu Suzuki won’t appear on stage but Ys Net will be making a Shenmue 3 announcement.
In a post on Kickstarter, the Shenmue 3 developers said: “Hello Backers, We have some breaking news about gamescom 2018!
“There is a Shenmue III announcement planned for the opening day of gamescom, Tuesday the 21st, at 11:00~13:00 CEST (17:00~19:00 JST).
“Yu Suzuki will not be in attendance, but we have put a video together for the announcement that we are currently putting the final touches to.
“So, please hold on until Tuesday!”

Another high profile game that could make an appearance during the Gamescom 2018 opening ceremony is Cyberpunk 2077.
One of the stars of E3 2018, CD Projekt RED’s highly anticipated game will have a presence during Gamescom 2018.
But at what point it will appear, and in what shape or form, is currently unclear.

The official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account posted yesterday: “New system update available: gamescom version 2.18
“> System update available > Update: Y/N > Updating, please wait… > System update successful!
“Welcome to gamescom v. 2.18! Next update scheduled for Tuesday, August 21st.#Cyberpunk2077 #Gamescom2018”.
It could possibly be the gameplay footage of Cyberpunk 2077, which was shown behind closed-doors only at E3 2018, could appear at Gamescom 2018.

And what better way to make an impression than showcasing it during the Gamescom 2018 opening ceremony.
Elsewhere Ubisoft, Square Enix, Bandai Namco and THQ will all be making announcements during the Gamescom opening ceremony, Dualshockers reported.
