WWE SummerSlam: Roman Reigns BEATS Brock Lesnar and becomes Universal Champion

Reigns failed to beat Lesnar at WrestleMania 34 where he was hit with a whopping six F5s and then came up short at the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia where he lost a controversial Steel Cage Match.

The Big Dog speared the Universal Champion through the cage but wasn’t awarded the belt even though his feet touched the floor first.

The three-time world champion earned another title shot after beating Bobby Lashley on RAW in a No1 Contender’s Match.

Reigns was very critical of Lesnar’s extremely limited schedule that didn’t allow the WWE Universe to see much of the Universal Championship.

That landed him in hot water as he suffered a vicious assault by Lesnar on RAW after his advocate Paul Heyman used pepper spray on him.

Before their match started Mr Money in the Bank Braun Strowman announced that he will cash in his briefcase against the winner.

Reigns tried to end the match quickly as he immediately delivered a series of Superman Punches as well as two Spears but the champion locked him in a front headlock.

At some point during the match, The Big Dog accidentally landed on Strowman and Lesnar then hit Mr Money in the Bank with an F5 at ringside.

The Beast hit The Monster Among Men with the case and then threw it to the ramp.

However, the UFC legend lost focus on Reigns who immediately hit him with a Spear and picked up the victory.

Strowman was in no condition to compete and therefore didn’t cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. New York.

The Monster Among Men put the case on the line in a match against Kevin Owens earlier.

The former RAW Tag Team Champion destroyed Owens with ease as he Chokeslammed him on the steel ramp and finished him off with a Running Powerslam.

Lesnar’s WWE future is not certain as he has been linked with a UFC Heavyweight Championship against Daniel Cormier.
