Fortnite season 5 week 6 challenges replaced with THESE battle star tasks

New Fortnite challenges are coming to the game very soon, and it looks like some of them have leaked early.

These new tasks will be made available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, Mobile and Nintendo Switch on Thursday, August 23.

This is the usual days that challenges go live, but as many fans will already know, data miners usually find out what they are before then.

Diving into the game’s code and finding the Week 7 challenges allow players to get ready for what’s coming next, but probably isn’t that popular with Epic Games.

The development team have tried different ways of stemming the flows of leaks, some proving more effective than others.

During season 4, Epic Games would put in very vague titles for the new challenges, which would then change hours before they were officially released.

This has not been happening in season 5, although the leaks still popping like clockwork.

Fortnite complete timed trials were one of the leaked Battle Pass tasks from week 6, and many thought this would be a racetrack challenge for the ATK kart.

But, now that the challenges have gone live, it’s turned out to be something very different entirely.

Fortnite complete timed trials is a set of courses dotted around the Battle Royale map that acts as obstacle courses.

Fortnite players have to walk up to one of the blue, translucent stopwatch icons and they activate it.

Then, they have to run through all the other Fortnite stopwatch icons before the timer runs out.

Our advice is to look at the layout of all of these stopwatches and try and chart a course you can run in one fell swoop.

You don’t want to be doubling back midway through an attempt at one of the Fortnite timed trials.

In total, you need to finish five of these courses to complete the challenge.

WEEK 6 CHALLENGES

The new week 7 challenges have been leaked online, meaning fans get a closer look at what’s coming next.

From what has been revealed this week, it looks like Fortnite fans will be searching for chests in Lucky Landing and following a new Treasure Map in Pleasent Park.

They will also need to score SMG eliminations and search supply drops around the Battle Royale island.

Free Challenges:

  • Visit the centre of named locations in a single match (4)
  • Search supply drops (3)
  • SMG eliminations (3)

Battle Pass

  • Deal headshot damage to opponents (500)
  • Search chests in Lucky Landing (7)
  • Follow the treasure map found in Pleasant Park HARD (1)
  • Eliminate opponents in Lazy Links (3)

It should be noted that these new challenges have not been confirmed by Epic Games and could, therefore, be subject to change.

Last minutes switches have been made by the development team before so it will be worth checking social media for the latest information.

What we do know for sure is that new battle stars will be available to collect next week.

For those that don’t know, each week Epic Games releases three challenges for free and four challenges for Battle Pass owners.

The challenges are separated into hard and regular tiers of difficulty.

The hard difficulty Fortnite challenges net players ten Battle Stars, while the regular tasks reward fans with five Battle Stars.

Earning Battle Stars levels up your Battle Pass, which is how you unlock all of the rewards on offer.
