Rambo 5: EXCITING new update for Sylvester Stallone sequel

It’s been over a decade since the 72-year-old action star gave us his last Rambo outing.

But now he’s getting ready for Rambo 5, which is due to start shooting next month.

But what’s yet to be revealed is who exactly will be directing the highly-anticipated sequel.

At first fans were assuming it would be Stallone himself, since he helmed Rambo 4, but now a new update claims it’s someone else entirely.

According to Geeks World Wide, Get The Gringo director Adrian Grunberg will be in charge of the Rambo 5 shoot.

The filmmaker was also second unit director on Netflix TV show Narcos and first assistant director on action films like Man on Fire, Edge of Darkness and Traffic.

Filming is set to take place in London, Bulgaria and the Canary Islands from September 1.

According to Screen Daily, the synopsis is as follows: “[Rambo] finds him[self] living in a ranch in Arizona, deeply troubled and wrestling with PTSD as he picks up casual work wherever he can.

“When long-time family friend and estate manager Maria informs Rambo that her granddaughter has gone missing after crossing into Mexico for a party, he sets off with her to find the youngster.”

“What ensues is a violent descent into hell as Rambo uncovers a sex-trafficking ring.

“He teams up with a journalist whose half-sister has also been kidnapped and must deploy all his skills to save the girls and bring down a vicious crime lord.”

At 72-years-old this will presumably be the last film in the Rambo series.

That is unless the franchise is rebooted with a younger star.

Rambo V is set for release in Autumn 2019.
