FIFA 19 news: Demo release date latest, closed beta update, PS4 and Xbox reveal

This month has seen a lot of new information shared by those playing the closed beta of FIFA 19.

Some of it official, and parts of it leaked, we now know more about the game, which is set to land in September.

The FIFA 19 beta went live earlier this month but remains an EA Sports invite-only affair, so if you haven’t received a demo code yet, you probably won’t get the chance.

The good news for fans who miss out on this month’s beta test is that a free-to-play demo will be launched before the game’s full release.

And news this week suggests that both the demo and full game could have a big La Liga presence.

It has now been confirmed that FIFA 19 will feature 16 La Liga stadiums, just one off having the complete set.

The Nou Camp is the odd one out as Barcelona still have a deal with the Pro Evolution series of games.

It’s looking like one of the most Stadium-heavy FIFA games of recent years, with more news expected in the coming weeks.

Fans are hoping to find out more about the FIFA 19 demo release date before the end of August.

This demo usually launched around two weeks before the full game’s release, so expect something in September.

Based on how EA Sports has handled past demo releases, we can expect the FIFA 19 version to arrive by September 14.

A mix of teams from the biggest leagues around the world are usually featured, with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Juventus and Bayern Munich counted among the usual crowd.

EA Sports haven’t confirmed what modes will be featured, but looking at past games it seems likely that offline mode will be the main focus.

There’s a chance that some Champions League action may also be thrown in, but this is purely speculation at this time.

A new leak has also surfaced this week from the FIFA 19 closed beta that suggests big changes are coming to PS4 and Xbox One.

According to one user, EA Sports is adding stats boosts from chemistry, making it easier to work out how players are affected.

Showing Basic Chemistry Style stats will certainly help fans work on their FUT squads and not have to rely so heavily on third-party sites for details.

Express.co.uk recently went hands on with FIFA 19 and while the game delivers a plethora of new gameplay mechanics that radically alter how players move and compete for the ball, it is the addition of a brand new Kick Off mode that has us most excited.

Although EA is touting huge improvements to Ultimate Team, we think this year’s FIFA is going to be best enjoyed on the sofa with other football fanatics.

The brand new Kick Off mode, that is only available offline, is heavily focused on giving players bragging rights over one another thanks to what EA is dubbing “Stat Tracking”.

The system is designed to closely monitor every goal, a percentage of possession and tackle friends make with one another.
