Disney World death: Horror as body found in blazing car at Florida theme park

Police and fire crews were called to the world-famous report and theme park near Orlando, Florida, in the early hours of this morning.

Orange County Sheriff’s Office said the death was under investigation but did not release details of the person’s identity.

It is not known yet how the car came to be on fire or for how long the person had been in the car.

The burning vehicle was found at Disney’s Fantasia Gardens  miniature golf course near to the Swan and Dolphin Resort in the popular family holiday destination.

A spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office said: “Deputies were called to 1209 Epcot Resorts Boulevard at 4:11am to assist the Reedy Creek Fire Department with a vehicle fire near Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course.

“The victim was found dead inside the vehicle.

“Deputies said the Fire Marshall, homicide detectives and Sector 6 investigators are investigating the incident.”

The grisly discovery comes just a few days after a man died after slipping and falling into a vat of oil near Walt Disney World.

The Orlando Sentinel reported said 61-year-old John A. Korody and a colleague were emptying oil byproduct from a truck into the vat at an energy facility that converts food waste into renewable energy when the accident happened.
