Unai Emery net worth: How much is the Arsenal football manager worth? How much is he paid?

Newly appointed Arsenal manager Unai Emery is looking to strengthen his team as his Premier League season got off to a bad start on Sunday.

Arsenal suffered a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City in their first match of the season.

Now the Spaniard has demanded his team each run an extra 28.89km this season, in a bid to build up the Gunners success.

Selection for Saturday’s game against Chelsea is a top priority for Emery, as he hopes for a better outcome than the previous match.

Who is Unai Emery

Emery was born in Hondarribia, Gipuzkoa, Basque Country on November 3, 197.

His father and grandfather, named Juan and Antonio respectively, were also footballers – both goalkeepers, while Unai played as a midfielder.

The 47-year-old began his footballing career as a mid-fielder with Spanish team Real Sociedad.

He then progressed into the world of management following a major knee injury – managing Lorca and achieving a promotion for the club for the first time in their history.

During his Spanish managerial career the ex-footballer moved from Lorca to Almeria then to los Che.

Becoming the manager of Sevilla, Emery secured three Europa League wins in a row, before transferring to Paris Saint-Germain.

After over a year with the French team, Emery left, leaving him open to his new position at Arsenal.

Emery was appointed as Arsenal manager in May following success in Spain – winning the Europa League three years in a row with Sevilla.

How much is Unai Emery worth?
