The Canadian is said to have confirmed to organisers of the Odlum Brown VanOpen her attendance.
Tournament director Rik de Voest told The Province: “Players enter, but they’re able to withdraw right up until the 11th hour so we don’t want to release anything until we’re sure.
“We had some players who pulled out and went to Cincinnati (for the Western and Southern Open tournament that got going with qualifiers on Saturday).
“We thought there was a chance that Eugenie would do that.
“We weren’t sure until we received her confirmation yesterday.”
Organisers will now have to up security and parking at the event, he has said, as the player drawers huge crowds.
