World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth is launching today with Blizzard releasing the WoW expansion at the same time across the world.
This is the first time in World of Warcraft history that a Wow expansion is getting a simultaneous launch.
In most regions the World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth expansion is launching on Tuesday August 14.
But in the Americas Battle for Azeroth will be getting released on Monday August 13 with the servers live then.
In a post online Blizzard said: “For the first time in World of Warcraft history, the next expansion — Battle for Azeroth — will launch in the Americas, Europe, Taiwan, Korea, and Australia/New Zealand at the same time.
“Wherever you live and whatever faction you fight for, you can be part of one globally unified front as the battle for Azeroth begins.
“Check the details below for the exact time you can begin logging in to explore Kul Tiras—for the Alliance!— or Zandalar—for the Horde!—in World of Warcraft’s upcoming expansion.
“You can pre-purchase Battle for Azeroth now.”

Here are the times that World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth will be going live in regions across the world:
• UK – 1am BST August 14
• Europe – 12am CEST August 14
• Los Angeles – 3pm PDT August 13
• New York – 6pm EDT August 13
• Taiwan – 6am CST August 14
• Australia – 8am AEST August 14
• Korea – 7am KST August 14

The official description of World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth reads: “Azeroth paid a terrible price to end the apocalyptic march of the Legion’s crusade — but even as the world’s wounds are tended, it is the shattered trust between the Alliance and Horde that may prove the hardest to mend.
“In Battle for Azeroth, the fall of the Burning Legion sets off a series of disastrous incidents that reignites the conflict at the heart of the Warcraft saga.
“As a new age of warfare begins, Azeroth’s heroes must set out on a journey to recruit new allies, race to claim the world’s mightiest resources, and fight on several fronts to determine whether the Horde or Alliance will lead Azeroth into its uncertain future.”

Fans will be hoping that the Blizzard servers are up to scratch for the World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth launch.
The Warlords of Draenor was hit by server issues during the first few days after it launched back in 2014.
World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth will introduce a new PvP feature called War Mode.

Here is, in Blizzard’s own words, how it will work: “We’re introducing a new way of getting into PvP out in the world with a system we’re calling War Mode.
“War Mode tears down boundaries and server rule-set distinctions, allowing players on any realm to decide when they want to jump into a world PvP experience full of like-minded players in the ongoing battle between Horde and Alliance.
“This new system gives us the opportunity to revisit World of Warcraft PvP as an open-world experience, building on the latest game technology available.

“Players can decide on the type of gameplay experience they want to have no matter their realm of choice.
“Whether that means opting out of world PvP entirely, gathering allies and venturing out into dangerous lands when the mood strikes you, or turning on War Mode and never looking back—the choice will be yours.”
