Fortnite shop update TODAY: New leaked season 5 Skins August 12

Fortnite fans have the chance to download new season 5 skins from the item shop today.

Starting August 12, Battle Royale players can grab two new 80s style skins, which can be added to any existing outfit collection for V-Bucks.

The Disco inspired skins leaked with a bunch of other season 5 designs, which has become commonplace in 2018.

Many of these skins have now appeared in the item shop, although fans can expect a steady stream of new content over the coming weeks.

The first of these new designs included the Viking Magnus skin, which was available to buy near the start of season 5.

This was followed by the legendary Chomp Snr skin, as well as many unique axe designs from Epic Games.

Luckily for fans, these new designs won’t cost as much as those other skins.

Due to it being ranked in the highest rarity category, the Chomp Snr and Magnus outfits cost a hefty 2,000 V-Bucks each.

The Aerobic Assassin and Mullet Marauder are ranked as epic skins, meaning that they will retail for 1,500 V-Bucks, half the price of the others mentioned.

They come with their own disco back bling and make their season 5 item shop debut today.

But while the new outfits are sure to prove popular with those hoping to stock up on new season 5 skins, other items could be even more sought-after

That’s because fans can also snap up the Axercise Pickaxe and Windbreaker Glider, which complete the new set.

The Axercise item features its own unique colour scheme that it shares with the Windbreaker glider, and cost 500 V-Bucks each to buy.

These new Fortnite season 5 skins and gear will be available over the next 24hrs before being replaced by more content from Epic Games.

As the development team notes whenever selling cosmetic items, this new gear will not provide any kind of bonus during a Battle Royale game.

They are purely cosmetic, so fans shouldn’t worry about spending cash in Fortnite unless they want to earn or buy new gear for their character.

The Tier 100 items will be the ones everyone will want to get their hands on, although that will take some dedication when it comes to completing weekly challenges.

The challenges are separated into hard and regular tiers of difficulty.

The hard difficulty Fortnite challenges net players ten Battle Stars, while the regular tasks reward fans with five Battle Stars.

Unlocking Battle Stars levels up your Battle Pass, which is how you unlock all the rewards on offer.

Season 5 also features bonus challenges that will net players specific items. The Road Trip challenges are similar to Blockbuster challenges from Season 4.

The Road Trip tier rewards players with special loading screens for fully completing all weekly challenges. These loading screens feature hidden Battle Star clues.

Fortnite Battle Royale is a free downloadable game currently available on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Mac and Mobile iOS.
