FIFA 19 news: Demo release date latest, closed beta update, PS4 and Xbox leak

The FIFA 19 beta is now live and available to those who managed to score a closed demo code for the test.

As you might imagine, there has been a lot of hype surrounding getting access to the new beta, which will run for a limited time.

The bad news for those hoping for a late entry is that EA Sports have made it invite-only, so if you haven’t grabbed a demo code yet, you probably won’t get the chance.

These closed beta codes were sent out in an email that reads: You’ve been selected to participate in the FIFA 19 Closed Beta.

“Starting 10th August at 9am PST, you can play and test game modes: FIFA Ultimate Team and Kick-Off.

“Get started early, Pre-Load available Now by following instructions below.

“Please find your code below, this code is specific to your account, and cannot be shared.”

To be in with a chance of getting a FIFA 19 closed beta code you first have to be signed up to receive FIFA e-mails.

According to the most recent reports, FIFA Ultimate Team fans who play the game the most apparently have the best chance of nabbing a FIFA 19 closed beta code for FUT.

The good news for fans who miss out on this month’s beta test is that a free-to-play demo will be launched before the game’s full release.

This usually is launched around two weeks before the full game release, so expect something in September.

Based on how EA Sports has handled past demo releases, we can expect the FIFA 19 version to arrive by September 14.

A mix of teams from the biggest leagues around the world are usually featured, with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Juventus and Bayern Munich usually featured.

EA Sports haven’t confirmed what modes will be featured, but looking at past games it seems likely that offline mode will feature heavily.

There’s a chance that some Champions League action may also be thrown in, but this is purely speculation at this time.

A new leak has also surfaced today from the FIFA 19 closed beta that suggests big changes are coming to PS4 and Xbox One.

According to one user, EA Sports is adding stats boosts from chemistry, making it easier to workout how players are affected.

Showing Basic Chemistry Style stats will certainly help fans work on their FUT squads and now have to rely so heavily on third-party sites for details.

Express.co.uk recently went hands on with FIFA 19 and while the game delivers a plethora of new gameplay mechanics that radically alter how players move and compete for the ball, it is the addition of a brand new Kick Off mode that has us most excited.

Although EA is touting huge improvements to Ultimate Team, we think this year’s FIFA is going to be best enjoyed on the sofa with other football fanatics.

The brand new Kick Off mode, that is only available offline, is heavily focused on giving players bragging rights over one another thanks to what EA is dubbing “Stat Tracking”.

The system is designed to closely monitor every goal, a percentage of possession and tackle friends make with one another.
