Nokia 8110 UK price and release date finally revealed as iconic retro phone goes on sale

The all-new and refreshed Nokia 8110 was announced back in February at Mobile World Congress and now this retro phone is finally available to pre-order.

This new device keeps its iconic slider design – which was immortalised in the classic Matrix movies – but now comes packed with some hi-tech features including the ability to connect to the fast 4G network.

Not only does this mean you get access to the web but also apps including Facebook.

In fact, there’s full access to an app store with favourites like Google Assistant, Google Search, Google Maps, and Twitter all downloadable.

A recent tease also may have revealed that brand for the first time as well.

Along with these new apps and fast internet speeds, there’s a 2.4-inch curved screen, ridiculous 25-day battery life and the all-important inclusion of the Snake game.

Other extras include a 2MP rear camera and the ability to use the phone as a WiFi hotspot.

To keep it running flawlessly, the Nokia 8110 features the Qualcomm 205 Mobile Platform and it delivers crystal-clear VoLTE calling

If you fancy owning the 8110 it will cost you £69.99 when it goes on sale in the UK from August 15.

There’s both a yellow and black colour scheme to choose from with Carphone Warehouse, EE, O2, Vodafone and other key retailers and e-tailers now opening the device for pre-order.
