Zouma to Man Utd
Manchester United and Everton are in talks with Chelsea to sign Kurt Zouma.
That is the sensational claim coming out of Paris tonight. Zouma, 23, was on loan at Stoke last season and is seemingly free to leave Chelsea.
United are desperate for a centre-back and L’Equipe claim they have contacted Chelsea over a deal for the France international.
But Everton are also looking for a new defender, with complications over a deal for Barcelona’s Yerry Mina meaning they are looking at other options.
Courtois deal agreed
Real Madrid have confirmed they will sign Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea, stating: “Real Madrid CF and Chelsea FC have agreed to the transfer of player Thibaut Courtois, who remains linked to the club for the next six seasons.
“After the medical examination that will take place tomorrow, Thursday, August 9, the player will be presented at 1:00 pm in the honour box of the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
“Subsequently, Courtois will step on the turf of the Santiago Bernabeu for the first time wearing the Real Madrid CF shirt and will attend the media in the press room.”
Mateo Kovacic will head the other way. Real said: “Real Madrid CF and Chelsea FC have agreed to the transfer of player Mateo Kovacic for the next season, until June 30, 2019.”
Liverpool end Fekir interest
Liverpool are NOT in for Nabil Fekir as Chelsea aye a move for the playmaker.
Fekir’s future has been the centre of much speculation this summer after he almost joined Liverpool.
But the Reds have no intention of making a bid for him on deadline day, especially with Chelsea eyeing the France international.
Express Sport understands Chelsea opened talks with Lyon over a deal for Fekir on Tuesday night.
Arsenal uncertainty
Arsenal manager Unai Emery is unconvinced about three current Gunners players.
The transfer deadline closes on Thursday at 5pm but Arsenal could still offload players onto European clubs after that date.
And the Sun reckon Emery is her from convinced by Shkodran Mustafi, Rob Holding and Konstantinos Mavropanos.
He has already sent Calum Chambers out on loan to Fulham and more departures could follow.
Pogba to Barcelona latest
Manchester United are furious with Barcelona’s attempts to sign Paul Pogba.
Barcelona offered a £45m deal for Pogba that included Andre Gomes and Yerry Mina.
But United want to keep their star man and are angry Barca waited until two days before the Premier League deadline before making their offer.
The Sun claim it meant United had no time to even consider seeking a replacement midfielder.
