UFC 227: TJ Dillashaw reveals strategy for second Garbrandt KO, declares himself BW GOAT

Dillashaw locked horns with his former Team Alpha Male training partner earlier this morning in the main event of UFC 227.

The bout was a rematch of the co-main event of UFC 217, which Dillashaw won via a second-round TKO to reclaim the bantamweight title he lost to Dominick Cruz in 2016.

The Ultimate Fighter season 14 runner-up successfully defended the 135lbs crown with an , a triumph which has left his former team-mate between a rock and a hard place.

And with back-to-back wins over ‘No Love’, Dillashaw believes his rivalry with the Ohio native and TAM is now a thing of the past.

“It feels good,” Dillashaw told commentator Joe Rogan in his post-fight post-fight press conference. “As always, man.

“Like I said, my bang Muay Thai is tight.”

Dillashaw admitted he was briefly rocked by Garbrandt, adding: “He caught me good, you know? But there wasn’t a moment I wasn’t there.”

“I expected him to throw more counter right kicks, so I was going to wait. I know what I can do with that right hand.

“So I was just going to time and throw my own. And that’s what happened.”

After emphatically seeing off Garbrandt for the second time, Dillashaw believes he’s now the greatest fighter to ever grace the men’s 135lbs division.

He said: “I am the best bantamweight of all time. That’s it. The best bantamweight of all time. I’m here, right now.”
