Hazard price tag

Chelsea have told Real Madrid to stump up a world-record £225m if they want to wrap up a deal for Eden Hazard.

That is according to Richard Keys, who has revealed the price tag quoted to the La Liga giants on Twitter.

Hazard is in Real’s sights following the loss of five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus.

And although Chelsea will be reluctant to do business, Keys believes they have slapped a valuation on the winger.

“Chelsea are quoting Madrid £225m for Hazard,” said Keys. “Courtois insists he wants to go as well.”

Man Utd collapse

Manchester United’s move for Yerry Mina reportedly collapsed because of the Barcelona defender’s agent.

Jose Mourinho turned to the Colombia international after deals for Harry Maguire and Toby Alderweireld proved tough to sort out.

And United chiefs pressed ahead by agreeing personal terms with the centre-back, who joined Barcelona back in January.

The Sun claim Felipe Russo moved the goalposts by demanding more money for himself and an altered payment schedule.

Russo apparently failed to sign off the deal by yesterday’s deadline and it now looks unlikely to be resurrected.

Liverpool exits

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says the Reds will not sanction exits on the cheap as deadline day approaches.

“We will see what happens,” said Klopp after Saturday night’s 5-0 thrashing of Napoli.

“If any player from my team is available, then in every other situation in my life as a manager I would have bought all of them, to be honest.

“They are all fantastic boys, they are able to play fantastic football. In this moment, the squad would be too big, that’s true.

“But it’s not that that means for us that we give them for free or something like that, Liverpool is strong enough to keep all these players and then we deal with that. We are not there to make other teams stronger, that’s not our job.”

Ramsey to leave Arsenal?

Chelsea are preparing to pip Liverpool to a deadline-busting move for Arsenal’s £35m-rated midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

Welsh midfielder Ramsey is in the last year of his Gunners contract and they are ready to sell to finance their own transfer ambitions.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has accepted defeat in his interest in Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, who will head to Tottenham – if they can persuade Villa to sell him – so he can play in the Champions League.

Express Sport understands Sarri, who has missed out on several Italian targets, will turn to Ramsey, who is yet to sign a new deal at Arsenal.
