Avengers Ant-Man and the Wasp star ‘CRIED’ after naked scene – JJ Abrams APOLOGISES

The actress spoke out about her ordeal this week on a podcast with The Lost Boys.

She said: “I’d had a bad experience on set with being basically cornered into doing a scene partially naked, and I felt had no choice in the matter.

“I was mortified and I was trembling when it finished.

“I was crying my eyes out and I had to go on to do a very formidable, very strong scene thereafter.”

The upsetting experience happened during filming an episode from the third season of Lost.

The show made Lilly a star and was one of the first major successes for Star Wars director JJ Abrams.

Lost co-creators and executive producers Abrams and Damon Lindelof, as well as executive producers Jack Bender and Carlton Cuse were swift to respond to the actress’s revelations.

They issued a joint public statement to People magazine.

It said: “Our response to Evie’s comments this morning in the media was to immediately reach out to her to profoundly apologise for the experience she detailed while working on Lost.

“We have not yet connected with her, but remain deeply and sincerely sorry. No person should ever feel unsafe at work. Period.”

Lilly also clarified that after another unwelcome naked scene in season four, she told the producers: “‘I will never take my clothes off on this show again.’ And I didn’t.”

Lilly starred in all 118 episodes across six seasons of the show, which ran from 2004-2010.

She also admitted she became increasingly frustrated with the way her character Kate became reduced to a damsel in distress or endlessly chasing after the male leads. She added:

“And that irritated the sh** out of me.”

These days she is a a fully-fledged superhero on screen, and the first female Marvel character to have her name in a movie title.
