WWE news: Ronda Rousey compares wrestling to Hollywood and UFC ahead of RAW debut

Rousey made headlines around the world when she joined WWE in January at the Royal Rumble following a scintillating stint at UFC.

The UFC legend has put together some stunning performances in the squared circle and won over the WWE Universe after her magnificent in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34 where she teamed up with fellow Olympian Kurt Angle and defeated Stephanie McMahon as well as Triple H in a Mixed Tag Team Match.

The first ever UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion also impressed at Money in the Bank where she beat ex-RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax via Disqualification following Alexa Bliss’ attack.

Her wrestling career though hasn’t interfered with her movie aspirations as she is currently promoting her next film Mile 22 following some appearances on various blockbuster pictures, such as The Expendables 3, Furious 7 and Entourage.

When asked by Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest on Live with Kelly and Ryan to compare WWE to Hollywood and UFC she stated that professional wrestling is a combination of fighting and acting.

Rousey said: “It’s uniquely challenging. I think it’s just a marriage between fighting and acting really. And it’s like doing Broadway except for, like, everyone does their own stunts and everyone kind of makes it up as they go along.”

The Baddest Woman on the Planet will compete next week on RAW for the first time ever against Alicia Fox.

She is also set to challenge Bliss for the RAW Women’s Championship at SummerSlam on August 19 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The Goddess cost Rousey her title match at Money in the Bank as she assaulted her just when she was ready to make Jax tap out to the Armbar.
