Fox News: TV hosts burst into laughter as Republican MOCKS US Democrat Socialists

The former Deputy Assistant to George W Bush joked about Democrats feeling “angry” unless they are called Socialists claiming not too long ago they would feel defamed if associated with the leftie political movement.

He said: “I remember a time, not too long ago when if you called a Democrat a Socialist you were defaming them.

“Now, they’re angry if you don’t call them a Socialist.”

Fox News hosts all chuckled when Mr Blakeman made the snapping joke.

One of them blasted: “I am certainly not angry if you don’t call me a Socialist.”

Mr Blakeman added: “You have people pro-Clinton who are seeing the party changing and instead of being engaged they are completely hands off.

“So, I think there is a huge identity crisis going on now in the Democratic party as to who they are and what they stand for.

“But if Socialism is it, I think that’s a losing strategy.”

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Senator  and now New York gubernatorial candidate Cynthia Nixon have claimed the label.

Meanwhile, the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), the country’s largest socialist group, is seeing its membership explode from 6,000 in summer 2016 to more than 45,000 today.

Bernie Sanders’ pipe-dream policy proposal in the 2016 campaign was a single-payer plan he called “Medicare for all.”

Today, a majority of the House Democratic caucus supports the idea enough to have co-sponsored “Medicare for all” legislation.
