The former Mayor of New York and US President Donald Trump‘s lawyer threatened to leave the CNN interview after he claimed he was “useless, petty and silly”.
But Mr Giuliani was persuaded to continue with the fiery interview at the compromise of being offered some coffee.
As Mr Giuliani said he would leave the studio moments before Alisyn Camerota announced a TV break, the TV host said: “We scared you away?”
But the US lawyer snapped back in sarcasm and said: “Oh yeah, you scared me away. I look really scared.”
“No, it’s starting to get useless,” he added.
“It’s getting really, really, really petty and silly.”
At this point, Ms Camerota reminded the presidential lawyers he had promised to talk to her “all day” about accusation of Russia’s collusion into Donald Trump’s victorious campaign in 2016.
To which Mr Giuliani replied: “OK, I stay one more time. But you’ve got to give me some coffee.”
During the controversial interview, Mr Giuliani said he was not sure collusion with Russia would be considered a crime.
Asked about former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort’s upcoming trial, Giuliani told Alisyn Camerota that Mr Manafort “was not involved with intimate business relationships with Donald Trump.”
He added: “Four months, they’re not going to be colluding with Russia, which I don’t even know if that’s a crime, colluding about Russians.
“You start analysing the crime. The hacking is the crime and the President didn’t hack.”
