New Bugatti Divo teasers REVEAL details about the £4MILLION hypercar

Bugatti is teasing its upcoming hypercar ‘Divo’ head of its release later this year.

The car is set to make its world debut at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering in California, on August 24th.

It is set to be a track-focused vehicle that is lighter than the – the car it is based on.

However, Bugatti has said that the Divo is a separate vehicle to the Chiron and not an iteration.

Just 40 examples of the vehicle will be built by the carmaker and Bugatti president Stephan Winkelmann that with the Divo, the brand aims to “thrill people throughout the world” with the release of the Divo.

Details about the car are being kept staunchly under wraps for now but the manufacturer has said the car will focus on less weight and high downforce.

It is expected to share the monstrous 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16 engine that powers the Chiron, but could be overall quicker due to the weight-loss.

Based on this the car is expected to have around 1,479 bhp and 1,600Nm of torque and a top speed in excess of 225 mph.

It should also be able to sprint in sub-2.5 seconds

Bugatti released a few teasers of the car including a video which reveals the cars unusual rear light design and rapturous engine growl.

The carmaker also shared an image of an air intake on the side of the doors with the words “Divo Details. Get ready. #BUGATTIDivo #Divo #BuiltforCorners.”

Bugatti is seemingly looking to improve the car’s handling and ability around the corners as opposed to just making a straight line animal.

The carmaker has also referenced the inspiration for the car as the French racing driver Albert Divo who won Siciliy’s Targa Florio mountain race.

It also said to be looking to resurrect some of the coach-bulging traditions it employed in its formative years, which should give the vehicle a unique design.

More details about the car should be released on the lead up to the release of the car later this month.
