Call of Duty Black Ops 4 beta release date news for PS4 and Xbox One

Having teased it for some time, fans now know when the new Call of Duty Black Ops 4 beta dates will fall.

As some fans will already know, the PS4 will get the first beta codes launch, followed by Xbox One and PC.

Activision is spreading out the test dates, with the PlayStation exclusive weekend set to begin on August 3, 2018.

The time has been set for around 6pm in the UK, so expect some rapid downloads on Friday.

Another session will be held the week after that, with both PS4 and Xbox One fans able to join the action.

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One test Starts on August 10 at 5pm BST and Ends: August 13 at 5pm BST.

For those on the PC, an early access beta is being held on August 10 at 5pm BST, which will be run exclusively on Battle.Net.

This will be followed by a PC Open Beta period on August 11 at 5pm BST, ending on August 13 at 5pm BST.

“The PC beta will continue the dialogue between us and our players. Every piece of feedback helps us to deliver the most balanced, most fun and most polished Call of Duty you have ever played on PC,” said Co-Studio Head, Mark Gordon.

“Through our partnerships with Beenox for development and with Blizzard providing us with infrastructure, tools and network – we are bringing a custom experience to PC.”

And from the recently released trailer, it looks like the new Black Ops 4 beta will include plenty of content.

10 Specialists will be available to play during testing, over six featured maps, two of them being levels that have yet to be shown.

It has also been confirmed that fans will have access to a large slice of new multiplayer modes, including Control, Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, and Search & Destroy.

It’s also expected that the Black Ops 4 beta will be available to pre-load on PS4 and Xbox One before their scheduled sessions.

Activision hasn’t confirmed this yet, although more news is expected to be shared this week.

The newly released trailer also gives players their first look at Blackout gameplay, albeit, only very quickly.

For those who want to see what it might be like, the new footage can be found in the YouTube embed above.

It has also been announced that all Xfinity Internet customers can request a free access code to the Multiplayer Private Beta of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
