WWE news: Ronda Rousey reveals her ultimate goal for next year ahead of SummerSlam

No female wrestler has ever performed in the main event of Mania but rumours suggest that things will change next year.

Rousey is considered a candidate to wrestle at the top of the card of WrestleMania 35 against one of WWE’s top female stars.

Reports suggested she may face Charlotte Flair on April 7 at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey and some even claimed she may lock horns with Asuka.

Nothing however is confirmed at this moment but ‘Rowdy’ insists her early New Year’s resolution is to make history at the Showcase of the Immortals.

When asked by Cosmopolitan what she wants to have achieved by this time next year she said: “Be one of the first women to headline WrestleMania.”

Rousey enjoyed one of the greatest ever WWE in-ring debuts at WrestleMania 34 where she teamed up with fellow Olympian Kurt Angle and beat Triple H as well as Stephanie McMahon in a Mixed Tag Team Match.

The first ever UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion also came close to beating Nia Jax for the RAW Women’s Championship at Money in the Bank but won via Disqualification after interference from Alexa Bliss.

Rousey is now scheduled to challenge Bliss for the title at SummerSlam on August 19 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

She earned that opportunity after her kayfabe 30-day suspension came to an end following a savage attack on the new champion, RAW General Manager Kurt Angle and two referees.
