More than 20 weeks and hundreds of matches have led up to the Grand Final of the Inaugural season, with $1 million on the line for some of the world’s hottest products.

The Barclays Centre in New York is hosting the giant event, which sold out within a week and is expected to be watched by more than 20 million players worldwide.

Two titans of Overwatch League will be battling out for the grand prize tomorrow evening to become the first Overwatch League title winners.

Who is in the Overwatch League Grand Final?

It has been a long road, but we finally have our two finalists – Philadelphia Fusion and London Spitfire.

We have practiced against London a lot, so we have a good measure of what they might play

Arguably two teams who have tread the most difficult path, they beat off incredibly strong opposition to book a place at the Barclays Centre this weekend.

The matchup should make for incredible viewing, with the two most deadly duos going head to head to scoop up glory.

For Philadelphia Fusion, their season had early teething problems, with the team unable to field a full team for the pre-season games back in December 2017.

A young squad full of talent, the team features players from 9 different nations from across Europe, the Middle East and Korea.

Talking exclusively to the express.co.uk, main tank player Joona “Fragi” Laine said he is feeling confident they can bring home a victory.

Mr Laine said: “They have a strong squad, with some great players, but I think we can beat them. The meta has been good for us and the heroes we can play to a high standard fit into this patch.

“I think it is difficult for tank players at the moment, but I feel confident with my Orisa and Reinhardt.

“We have practiced against London a lot, so we have a good measure of what they might play.”

Playing in a deep oragnge and black kit, the Fusion have become famous for their rapid dive play and ability to cause chaos in the enemy backline with multiple angles of attack.

Their DPS duo, Simon “Snillo” Ekstrom and Josue “EQO” Corona, are deadly in this dive meta, collapsing on enemy supports with ruthless precision.

That damage output is scary without even mentioning star player Jae-Hyeok “Carpe” Lee, who has been putting in MVP performances all season.

The Korean’s hitscan ability and his incredible mechanical skill on the French sniper, Widowmaker, makes him a dangerous opponent.

For London’s part, they are no slouches, boasting an embarrassment of riches despite a smaller roster.

Despite the roster featuring only Korean players, London Spitfire have shown themselves to be incredibly strong opponents for Western teams.

The Spitfire had an incredibly strong start to Stage 1 of the inaugural season, taking home the Stage 1 title back in February.

Since then, the team has struggled to find rhythm despite the wealth of talent on show.

Several injuries to key players, Ji-Hyeok “Birdring” Kim and Jun-Young “Profit” Park, in Stages 2 and 3 made it hard for the team to string victories together.

However, the Spitfire are back at it for the Grand Finals, hitting momentum just at the right time to stomp out strong western teams LA Gladiators and LA Valiant in the Playoffs.
