Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Barcelona, Liverpool latest

Manchester United board stopped deal

Manchester United’s board have stopped Jose Mourinho from signing Juventus ace Alex Sandro.

The Telegraph claim Mourinho wanted the Brazil international to touch down from Juventus.

But the Red Devils board supposedly opted against a deal.

Instead, they told Mourinho he can sign Sandro – but only if he trims his squad first.

Manchester United have too many defenders on the books with one of Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelof and Marcos Rojo primed to leave.

Dembele to Liverpool or Arsenal

Ousmane Dembele may be allowed to leave Barcelona, putting Liverpool and Arsenal on red alert.

The France international toiled last season and may spend more time on the bench in the wake of Barcelona’s deal for Malcom.

And Marca say Barcelona may cut him loose in order to recoup some funds.

Arsenal have the player on a list of transfer targets with Unai Emery hellbent on strengthening the right wing.

And Liverpool went public with their interest in May, with Jurgen Klopp saying: “Is Dembele on the market? Then I’m interested.”

Arsenal transfer claim

Arsenal will not be making anymore signings this summer, according to Gunners icon Robert Pires.

Piers said: “I don’t think Arsenal will sign anyone else this summer and they should be happy with the squad they now have.

“They’ve signed four or five players and Unai Emery will be happy with that, especially having signed them so early in the summer.

“Arsenal have also kept [Mesut] Ozil, [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang, [Henrikh] Mkhitaryan and Lacazette despite not having Champions League football.

“It’s a very good squad on paper and I’m confident for this season.”

Higuain to Chelsea latest

Gonzalo Higuain to Chelsea is a transfer rumour refusing to go away.

And Italian football agent Silvio Pagliari thinks the Argentina international will seal a move to Stamford Bridge over the next two weeks.

He said: “For me Higuain will go to Chelsea, while Morata will close with Milan.”

Higuain will be allowed to leave Juventus after the Serie A giants signed Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid earlier this month.

Ronaldo moved to Turin in a £105million transfer following Los Blancos’ Champions League final win over Liverpool in May.
